We moved into a beautiful neighborhood last year. Our parents had grand plans to keep expanding their business in Lake County. The move proved to be the best. I was still struggling to decide my major once I joined college. But, as fate would have it, we moved next door to a renowned historian. Mr. Wilson came to welcome us to the area once we’d moved in with a basket full of muffins. Since it was cold outside, my mom asked him to come inside lovely and warm. We learned fast that the Illinois winter was nothing to joke about, and having a sound heating system was non-negotiable. Mr. Wilson came in, and we all had dinner together. It’s while we were talking that I learned he was a historian. I got interested and started asking so many questions about him, how he started, and even the history of Libertyville. Mr. Wilson invited me to his house the next day to go through his extensive book collection. I went the next day to his house and was floored. He had not expressed the full extent of his book collection. It looked like a library. We began talking about Libertyville, and he told me the native Indian who owned the land had to sell it at some point. Back in 1829, there was so much pressure to use the land for economic and mining resources. The natives finally conceded and sold it to the US government for $12000 in cash. They also received another $12000 worth of essential goods they’d need after moving from the area. One other item they required was salt to seal the deal. The tribe would receive 50 barrels of salt each year.

Have you ever wondered where coins come from? I found myself wondering the same when mom told me we would be visiting the United States Mint. She told me to bring my jar full of coins if I wanted to. The mint factory is responsible for minting about 50 million coins per year, which I had no clue about. All of this was part of our tour of Denver while dad was working. Dad was going on a business trip to Denver last summer. I was on holiday, and my brother was away in college. So mom asked dad if we could join him. He was so happy since he complained of getting lonely during the long business trips away from home. I was excited because Denver was a new place for me to add to my bucket list. We began to research the attractions in the area when we got there. It was the height of summer, and the heat was higher in July. Instead of booking a hotel, we got a furnished apartment since we were planning to stay in Denver for a month. The apartment was lovely and had amazing air conditioning to keep us cool. Mom planned our first you were going to be the mint, and I got to pick the itinerary for the second day. We went to the mint, and it turned out to be quite an exciting affair. Did you know the mint began operating as far back as 1863 during the gold rush era? I did not know that and even wanted to learn more about that exciting time in the history of Denver. That meant spending the next day in a museum!

We actually had a great time hanging out with my friends

I couldn’t wait for summer when my sister was home from college. She went to Eastern Florida State College, which was located in Cocoa, FL, and was close enough to come home. Unfortunately, she only came home to do laundry and shop for snack food in mom’s pantry. I was hoping she would spend some time with me during the summer, but I was wrong. All she wanted to do was go to the beach and go swimming with her friends. I decided not to get mad, and just spent time with my friends and my boyfriends. We didn’t go to the beach as often as she did. We were happy to head to someone’s home, swim in their pool for a while, and then relax in their patios. There was air conditioning in most of their patios. We even had air conditioning on our patio. That’s why we flipped houses every once in a while. My boyfriend said he was glad Cocoa, Florida was a small city. No one had to travel far to get to a house to hang out. Then one afternoon, my sister asked if I wanted to hang out. I told her my friends were coming to the house so we could hang out. I offered for her to join us. She was shocked that I had a boyfriend, and I reminded her I was sixteen. We actually had a great time hanging out with my friends. We would swim then hang out in the air conditioning with drinks and snacks. She admitted that my friends weren’t so bad and she was glad she had spent the day with us.

Ever since my best friend Michael and I met in college, we bonded over music and our love for writers like Jack Kerouac and Hunter S.

Thompson. The two books that both are most famous for—On The Road and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas—embody a youthful energy and drive for exploration and road travel. I had never seen the western United States and had only gone as far west as the MIssissippi River banks in Missouri. Michael had been as far west as Kansas and was desperate to see the Pacific Northwest. We plotted out a dream road trip, but we didn’t realize that it would become a reality in four short years. One of the stops that we planned ahead of time was Albuquerque, New Mexico. Not only did I want to try cannabis from a New Mexico dispensary, but Michael has family in Albuquerque. They live in Old Town Albuquerque near the Native American shops and monuments. I was in awe driving down Mountain road on our way to the Albuquerque Museum and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. Aside from the rich Native American culture that has existed in Albuquerque for generations before American settlers occupied the area, it is also the location of many major archaeological and paleontological digs. The dinosaur bones at the Museum of Natural History and Science were awe inspiring, especially with some cannabis in our systems! Before we left Albuquerque, we took the time to explore West Mesa after smoking a bowl of weed on the banks of the Rio Grande river. If I take another cross country road trip, I’ll be sure to stop in Albuquerque again.

I never want to take the boat on the water

I have been a fan of the Florida aquarium in Tampa, since our family & I first moved here when I was just a kid. I really loved going to the aquarium. My mom took me every weekend to see the aquatic creatures. I loved seeing the sharks all afternoon long. I’m sure it is the reason why I grew up & went to university for marine biology. I learned a lot about fish, sharks & their various habitats. I own a boat & the teenagers & I spend a lot of time on the water. I take our teenagers to the Florida aquarium in Tampa, Florida, at least one time a week. Both of our children care about the shark exhibits as much as I do. My children recognizably are interested in the alligators, but our middle child prefers the sea lions & the otters. The aquarium in Tampa is the perfect venue to go visit during a sizzling Summer afternoon. The venue has AC, restrooms, food, drinks, & activities for the teens that are educational & fun. It’s the perfect Summer hangout spot. The temps in this section of the country are truly warm & humid during the Summer weeks. It’s next to impossible to spend time outside unless you go to the beach or a Springtime. I never want to take the boat on the water. Occasionally I want to spend the afternoon indoors. I started taking the teenagers to the Tampa aquarium numerous years ago & now they really care about the mornings when the people I was with and I go see all of the fish. They look forward to the trip all month & I can use it as a special reward for stellar behavior.

My husband Tom & I decided to take the 2 teenagers to Tampa last weekend.

All of us haven’t been to Tampa in such a long time & Tom and I wanted to take the teenagers someplace special before the most modern semester started! Since Tom and I were in the neighborhood for three mornings, Tom and I went with the Tampa Bay CityPASS. The City Pass is a particular kind of tourism ticket that allows admission into 5 Tampa Bay attractions. These attractions include Busch Gardens theme park in Tampa Bay, the Florida aquarium, zoo tampa at Lowry Park, the Marine Aquarium, & an option between the Museum of Science & Industry or a sunset dolphin cruise. The CityPASS offers a cheap way to see numerous weird attractions in a single weekend. My husband Tom & I thought it was a great deal so the people I was with and I purchased passes for both of us & both of our children. I was recognizably excited to go to Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park. That was the main venue I wanted to go first, however unfortunately, it was seriously sizzling & humid that afternoon & we were truly uncomfortable outdoors. All of us spent about 2 minutes at the Tampa zoo, before Tom and I went to a weird attraction that was indoors with The teens particularly didn’t mind going to the aquarium & Tom & I were much more comfortable in the aquarium than the people I was with and I were waiting outside at the zoo. The next afternoon the outdoor temperatures were a wee bit less muggy & humid, so the people I was with and I spent that afternoon doing another thing that required us to be outdoors. The teenagers had a lot of fun that weekend & so did Tom.

My mom & other Mom (long story) called a family meeting last Wednesday. My mom made that famous lasagna with all the meat sauce & extra provolone cheese. My sibling Pat & I talked earlier in the week. Both of us were sad that our mom & Mom were both going to provide us some terrible news. All of us were set for the worst, prefer a divorce or a terminal illness, then neither Pat nor I expected to hear what our parents absolutely said. They were going to sell the family cabin & move down to Tampa. My mom’s sibling lives in Tampa, Florida & our mom & Mom went to visit his a few weeks back. Ever since they went to Tampa, Florida, they have been talking about the amazing weather. My Moms loved the sunshine & the warm, humid mornings, but honestly, it’s genuinely the thing that I detest most about Florida. I have been to Tampa a few times to visit our aunt & I wasn’t at all impressed. I don’t prefer walking around on a Summer afternoon feeling prefer our body is constantly moist. It is a terribly uncomfortable feeling that I don’t enjoy. I was truly shocked & taken by surprise when our mom & Mom mentioned Moving to Tampa. Pat & I threw a temper tantrum & left the cabin before they could finish talking. Pat and I went back a couple of mornings later to apologize, but both of us were really surprised when Pat and I heard the news. All of us never expected our parents to move all the way to Tampa, Florida & abandon us.

Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida attracts tens of thousands of fans and tourists each Winter season. The annual game has been held every year since 1986. The university football game attracts so many tourists & it is a single 1 of the busiest times of the year in our restaurant. My wife & I own a restaurant in Tampa & she and I are located close to Raymond James Stadium. This is the beachside cabin of the Tampa Bay Bucs & the location of the Outback Bowl. The Outback Bowl is sponsored by the famous Outback Steakhouse. There are a lot of venues to get a steak in Tampa, but Outback is still a single 1 of our preferred venues to visit. The Outback Bowl has been played each Winter time for almost 40 years, one of the best reasons to attend this bowl game is due to the temps in Tampa! Even during the Winter time season, Tampa has a mild & warm temps. The average lows around Christmas & New Year are still 40 degrees. The bowl games attract lots of visitors & this is great for local companies prefer mine! During the month of the Outback bowl, our restaurant cells A week’s worth of burgers, fries, & chicken wings, however she and I are positively famous for our pizza, but most of the tourists enjoy to order burgers & hot chicken wings, then business is off the chain during that month & the wife and I use those profits to sustain the restaurant until Springtime when the Summer tourists come back to Tampa. This venue is filled with seasonal folks that only come to Tampa when the weather is bright, sunny & warm.
