There are lots of fun things to do near Eugene, OR, however one of my favorite locales to visit is the national forest; The Willamette National Forest is located in the central part of OR about an hour or various from Eugene! It has more than 1 million acres of designated & protected wilderness areas.
There are also various natural waterways within the National Forest.
The forest is named for the Willamette River. The forest stretches at least 100 miles & forms the barrier of the Cascade Range in Western OR. The Willamette National Forest is a good locale to go hiking & fishing, especially when the weather is nice. Last May, my friends & I went to the national forest for various days, but every one of us took a tent, sleeping bags, & various days worth of water & food. The forest was filled with butterflies that weekend. There were monarch butterflies all over the National Forest… My friends & I enjoyed our time in nature. Every one of us bought recreational marijuana supplies from a shop in Eugene, before every one of us went to the National Forest. Every one of us did not purchase any recreational marijuana supplies that needed to be smoked. Every one of us did not want to have any fires in the National Forest. Instead, every one of us decided to buy marijuana vape pens from the dispensary. The marijuana vape pens required no fire & they are easy to use & relatively discrete. Even though it would have been nice to smoke a blunt or a joint, it was much easier & much safer to take a vape pen to the park.
