Last December, I had to travel to Buffalo NY for a business trip. I was excited to go on this trip because I had never been to Buffalo. I was especially excited because me and my coworkers planned on going to see Niagara Falls. I have seen so many pictures of these falls, and I have been fascinated with them. When I found out that we could see the falls without crossing the border, I was too excited. The only problem that I had with this trip was that I live in the Southern part of the country where we don’t get any snow. In fact, we barely get Winter, and it’s only cold for 2 weeks out of the year. On the other hand, Buffalo NY is one of the coldest cities in the nation, and they get a lot of snow. I didn’t mind seeing the snow, but I thought the cold temperatures would drive me nuts. I was just hoping that the house that we rented for the trip had a great HVAC system. I assumed that the owners of the property took good care of their heating systems because it is essential to have heat in a place as cold as Buffalo. I get my HVAC system maintained once per year, but in Buffalo, they probably perform maintenance more often because their HVAC systems work harder than average. I didn’t even want to think of how much money the people in Buffalo NY spend on keeping their houses warm in the Winter. Anyway, we went on the trip and it was perfect. We saw the falls, and it snowed a little that week. But most importantly, the house was warm and cozy because the furnace was working properly.
