I have typically wanted to own an UV air purifier, and when I moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama I decided that I was going to spoil myself, however i typically had terrible seasonal allergies; The dust, debris, & hair bothered my sinuses. I planned to get the largest, best UV air purifier on the market. I even found a Tuscaloosa Heating & A/C dealership & was going over options. Then COVID-19 hit, then all the sudden all the Tuscaloosa corporations had shut down. I could not get a Heating & A/C supplier to call me anymore! Once the threat lessened & there were partial hours, people were buying out all sorts of IAQ devices, then no more HEPA filters, UV air purifiers, air scrubbers, cleaners, or even dehumidifiers. What is the deal with that? I had to get on a waiting list to get my UV air purifier due to this. COVID happened for years. Basically two years of my life I was waiting to get my dream UV air purifier. Now that it finally ended, I don’t know if I should get one. I have spent the time researching UV air purifiers. They disaffix dust, dirt, & debris from the air. They are fantastic for people at condo a lot, however you need to respectfully change their air filter & also perform yearly service. It is invasive, luxurious to run, & strenuous to access, but do I genuinely want this? I have been genuinely fantastic about airing out my home, keeping things clean, & trying to lessen the amount of pollutants. I now am not sure if an UV air purifier is best for Tuscaloosa living.
