Going to the springs is a must do Tampa summer activity

Anyone that lives in Tampa knows that the summer temperatures are extremely hot and humid.

The AC runs all day and all night from April until the end of October.

The only way to beat the summer heat is going to the water. There are a lot of places to go to the water in the Tampa area. A lot of those places have warm ocean water that isn’t very refreshing on a hot day. You can go to the bay or the beach, or you can drive a short distance and go to a number of different Florida springs. The springs are created when a crack in the crust exposes water from the underground aquifer. The springs are absolutely one of my favorite features in Florida. I would rather spend a summer day at the Springs than any other place in the city. A lot of people think that the best part about Florida is the beaches and the amusement parks, but the springs are an amazing wonder. Florida has the largest concentration of freshwater springs in the entire world. Some of the most amazing ones in the state are just outside of the Tampa area. Rainbow Springs is a great place to go when it is hot and humid outside and you want to escape the air condition. There are lots of different ways to enjoy the springs, including kayaking, tubing, fishing, and swimming. If you want to find a way to beat the Florida heat, a day trip to one of the hundreds of springs can definitely help.
