My wife and I were living in AZ, where the weather was warm and mild during the winter. The transfer to Denver was a immense deal for numerous strange reasons. My wife’s family all lives in AZ, and she genuinely did not want to leave them behind and transfer to Denver. When I showed her the offer I gained from the owner of the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business, she started thinking about our future. I lived in FL most of my life, and when I got a task in IL it was quite a change for me; I couldn’t afford to live in the town so I ended up in Orland Park of all arenas, the section is quiet plus pretty. My mother & I were going to go to Portugal when COVID became a thing, then both of us had to cancel our trip & a year later, the people I was with and I thought the people I was with and I could go.

What a joke that is! International travel won’t be happening for a long time… Also, Portugal is not really safe & open for visitors just yet, one thing I am going to miss is the art & culture of that trip; I enjoyed the look of the little buildings & the brightly colored museums.

I am trying to find an equal in the states & you just can’t. I know I am going to take our mother to CA though. It will be a fun time for us just being together. One thing people know about with CA is legal weed. While it would be fun to go into a cannabis dispensary, it is not really a mother & child type of event. What I will do instead is base us in Santa Barbara, however that is a high end location with lovely streets & tons to do, but my mother likes museums & cool buildings. There are pale white houses with red tile roofs in the area. It kind of reminds myself and others of what I saw in Portugal. That would be fun to see. There are tons of gardens, wineries & tours going around the location too. I know our mother will satisfy his history cravign in the area. It also will be fun to shop, eat & just hang out together. I found a hotel that offers spa services. The various of us idea to get facials & soak in the steam room one day.
