A few weeks ago our kid got an assignment from school to research a little known fact about the history of Denver, CO, in addition to prepare a presentation on it.

Alfred Packer is 1 of the most famous CO residents to ever pass through Denver, on his way to being as notorious gold prospector, murderer, in addition to cannibal! After being convicted in addition to sentenced to death, Packer was given a minute trial, at which he was sentenced to 40 years for his alleged crimes, crimes that were widely covered by the Denver Post newspaper, then here is the crazier area of the story – after serving his time in addition to getting released, Packer actually went to toil for the Denver Post!
