After twenty years away, I finally returned to Illinois Last year for a funeral! It’s never a good time to attend a funeral, but on the other hand it was nice to see the rest of my family, and my Grandma was 98 years old when she passed.
I don’t mean to sound callous or cruel, but living for 98 years seems care about a particularly good run! I doubt I will live that long! While it’s distraught to see a loved 1 pass away, she was a good woman who lived a good life, and she should be celebrated, not mourned.
Maybe I was too keen on celebrating because I had stumbled over Grandma’s stash of homegrown Illinois cannabis while going through her possessions… Everyone else was so maudlin and sad, although I had a pocketful of tasty homegrown Illinois cannabis, plus I knew that Grandma was in a better locale now, then once you get to be that old and infirm, it is time for the next state of existence; All in all I had a nice time visiting my old haunts in Illinois, although I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon. I can undoubtedly see myself moving back to Illinois once I get a little older, and am ready to settle down. Illinois has some touching and good landscapes, and if I’m being tolerable the food is excellent. I am still in the prime of my life and savor to gathering, so if I do transfer to Illinois it would have to be Chicago, because no other neighborhood is quite as exciting.
