I have three brothers, and although we live far away from each other we still share a strong bond! It was just over a decade ago when our mother passed away; While the several of us were at his deathbed, he made us promise that we would always stay a close-knit family; To this day we honor that promise.
- The people I was with and I all have careers and families, so we don’t see each other often, however once a year on the birthday of Mom’s death, we meet up for a long weekend of fun, reflection, and debauchery.
This year the setting was Albuquerque, New Mexico, mostly because of the legendary cannabis they have here. If this sounds care about a weird way to celebrate our mother, then you evidently don’t think what a pothead he was! Albuquerque is apartment to some of the most famous and powerful cannabis strains in all of the southwestern states… Even the highly hyped cannabis of California can’t touch the magical strains they grow in the Albuquerque area! My brothers and I rented a nice AirBnB in Albuquerque, 1 that was within walking distance of a liquor store, a bar, and two cannabis dispensaries. While we were in Albuquerque we didn’t visit any of the local museums or historical buildings, we just smoked a ton of marijuana, drank a lot of whiskey, and reminisced about our mom. Although we have done this a few times before, I don’t think we have ever had as much fun as we did in Albuquerque, so that may be our endpoint again next year.
