Orlando hotel prices are skyrocketing

I moved to Orlando a couple of years ago.

  • I got a job working for an Orlando HVAC service company.

The Orlando heating and AC company was looking for a service technician with at least 3 years of commercial and residential experience. I applied for the job with two and a half years of experience and I was very surprised when they offered me a full-time position. When I took the job, I had to move. I didn’t know anyone in Orlando, so I decided to stay in a hotel for a couple of weeks. I stayed in a hotel with rates that were $50 each night. The hotel was located a few miles away from Disney World and the traffic was always bad. Still, the $50 hotel was one of the cheapest places to stay in the city. I stayed in that hotel for 3 months and then I moved into an apartment in Davenport. I’ve been working at the same Orlando HVAC service company since I moved. I had a couple of weeks of vacation time saved up so I took some time off and invited my sister and her husband to come for a visit. They were going to stay in my apartment but they decided to get a hotel room instead. When I visited with my sister, I told her that I had not stayed in a hotel since I lived in one 3 years ago. My sister told me that the Orlando Hotel was $115 a night. The hotel wasn’t much nicer than the place where I stayed several years ago for only $50. Hotel prices in Orlando are skyrocketing.
