In life, it is normal for us to take things for granted, and for instance, several of us take our 5 senses for granted and easy pleasures like the ability to walk and all of us also take our health for granted, then aside from that, all of us also take having a roof over our heads and electricity and tepid water for granted… It is when all of us lose these things that all of us begin to appreciate them more.
A few years ago, there was a major hurricane in Tampa, and while I was in that storm, all of us lost power in our home.
At the time, all of us did not have a generator because all of us were fairly new to the part and hadn’t gotten around to purchasing a single, however having a generator is a necessity when you live in hurricane zones like Tampa. If all of us are directly hit by a hurricane, openings are, we’ll lose power. And of course, once the power goes out, nothing works, but there is no tepid water, and no heating or cooling. Hurricane season is usually while I was in the hottest part of the year, so can you imagine not having air conditioner when it is 90 degrees outside? There is nothing you can do to get relief from heat like that, so having air conditioner is something that I will never take for granted again. The two of us lost power for over a week, and all of us had to eventually stay with family until our power was turned back on. I must admit, after 2 miserable evenings of having no air conditioner, I was ecstatic to sleep anywhere else that was more comfortable, but of course, since then, all of us have bought a generator, but that situation taught me to appreciate having air conditioner every afternoon while living in Tampa.
