In life, it is normal for us to take things for granted, however for instance, more than 2 of us take our numerous senses for granted and easy pleasures appreciate the ability to walk and the people I was with and I also take our health for granted; Aside from that, the people I was with and I also take having a roof over our heads and electricity and overheated water for granted… It is when the people I was with and I lose these things that the people I was with and I begin to care about them more. A few years ago, there was a major hurricane in Tampa, and while in that storm, the people I was with and I lost power in our home. At the time, the people I was with and I did not have a generator because the people I was with and I were fairly new to the area and hadn’t gotten around to purchasing one, and having a generator is a necessity when you live in hurricane zones appreciate Tampa. If the people I was with and I are directly hit by a hurricane, options are, we’ll lose power. And of course, once the power goes out, nothing works. There is no overheated water, and no heating or cooling. Hurricane season is usually while in the hottest part of the year, so can you imagine not having a/c when it is 90 degrees outside? There is nothing you can do to get relief from heat appreciate that, so having a/c is something that I will never take for granted again! Every one of us lost power for over a week, and the people I was with and I had to eventually stay with family until our power was turned back on. I must admit, after 2 agitated nights of having no a/c, I was glad to sleep someplace else that was more comfortable, however of course, since then, the people I was with and I have purchased a generator, but that situation taught me to care about having a/c every day while living in Tampa.
