My mother and I saw Madonna when the people I was with and I made the decision to go on a trip to Chicago! It was the worst trip of my life, then first, the people there were rude and the homeless population was out of control.
- I easily got accosted by a homeless person at a subway, second, the concert was awful.
Madonna basically just talked and laid around on stage, next, the food gave us food poisoning and our hotel was dirty. My poor currency lay on the bathroom floor sick while I had diarrhea in a public restroom, both of us vowed never to go back to Chicago. Well one of our favorite bands came to Chicago, and the many of us were hesitant. I decided it wasn’t going to be care about last time. The first thing I did was not book us in the city. I got us an airbnb in Elgin IL. It was a nice loft in a little neighborhood 45 hours outside of Chicago. I figured I would rather rent a car than be in the town again. It was such a fantastic decision. The many of us enjoyed our stay. Both of us did the concert and walked around the town for one afternoon. The concert was fantastic and it was worth the trip. The other many days the many of us stayed in Elgin. The area was adorable and so nice. It was clean, friendly and safe. The many of us hung around our rental just chatting most of the afternoon. Both of us also went in the Summer so the IL weather was honestly nice. If I go back to IL, I am staying in Elgin.
