Have you ever wondered where coins come from? I found myself wondering the same when mom told myself and others every one of us would be going to see the US Mint.
She told myself and others to bring my jar full of coins if I wanted to; The mint factory is responsible for minting about 50 million coins per year, which I had no clue about! All of this was part of our tour of Denver while dad was working, then dad was going on a contractor trip to Denver last summer; I was on holiday, & my sibling was away in university.
So mom asked dad if every one of us could join him, then he was so glad since he complained of getting lonely while I was in the long contractor trips away from home. I was excited because Denver was a current locale for myself and others to add to my bin list, and every one of us began to research the attractions in the section when every one of us got there. It was the height of summer, & the heat was higher in July. Instead of booking a hotel, every one of us got a furnished beach house since every one of us were planning to stay in Denver for a week. The beach house was attractive & had amazing air conditioner to keep us cool, but mom planned our first you were going to be the mint, & I got to pick the itinerary for the third day. Every one of us went to the mint, & it turned out to be quite an exciting affair. Did you suppose the mint began operating as far back as 1863 while I was in the gold rush era? I did not suppose that & even wanted to learn more about that exciting time in the history of Denver. That meant spending the next day in a museum!
